We are conducting a survey commissioned by the State Youth Council on the views and wellbeing of young people aged between 15 and 29 years. The theme of the 2026 Youth Barometer is equality and non-discrimination. Your answers are important and will help to develop youth policy and youth services.

The annual survey is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the State Youth Council and the Finnish Youth Research Society. Taloustutkimus Oy is responsible for the data collection in the survey. Analysing the answers and drawing up the survey report are the responsibility of the Finnish Youth Research Society.

Answering is voluntary. The answers you give will be processed confidentially and analysed statistically. The results of the survey will be published in a way that does not make it possible to identify individual persons.

Who can participate in this survey?

Anyone who has been invited to participate can respond to the survey. Answering takes about 15 minutes. Your participation is entirely voluntary and you can choose to stop responding at any time.

How do I respond to the survey?

You can respond to the survey in Finnish, Swedish or English on a computer and a mobile device.

Your answers are confidential

The information you provide has privacy protection and is treated as confidential. Your answers will not be linked to your name or other identifying information.

Confidentiality

Taloustutkimus saves your answers securely and keeps them confidential. In the analysis stage, your responses are combined with the responses of other survey participants into a single dataset. Your responses will not be linked to your direct personal information so it is not possible to identify you through the responses. The responses of all survey participants are compiled into material that is used as a basis for research publications. In the publications, the responses are examined as part of a larger set of materials, and the responses of an individual respondent are not presented separately.
